Spring at the Cape Greco

Ayia Napa and Cape Greco in Cyprus are natural wonders filled with people in summer but deserted in winter and early spring. This short spring break was full of wonders and stunning views. I love the wind moving seaside grasses, making the light and shadow shimmer.
This pastel painting was conceptualised on site but painted later at home based on a few reference pictures and memories. I use regular Pastelmat on foam core board 5mm to make it easier to paint. I use Prismacolor Nupastel for underpainting and then Schmincke and Sennelier soft pastels.
