Viburnum in Blue

After tinting my pastelmat a tone of sienna, I painted this using Richeson and Sennelier pastels. At one point, I alcohol washed just the background and started that over —and was overall (fairly) pleased with the outcome after stepping away a day or so-. I was able to follow my thumbnail fairly well and this painting is from a still life that I set up on my dining room table. The Viburnum —from just outside my backdoor.
